Tourist Russian Visa

The Russia House can supply the invitation!

The hotel/tourist package we have booked for you supplies us with all the necessary back-up to support your visa. The hotel must be pre-paid for the full period of stay

We prefer to book your hotel as this enables us to control the situation (we have excellent hotel rates offering up to 60% discount on rack rate) but if this has already been reserved, we can still supply support on evidence of the reservation.

This Tourist support has to come from a Russian travel agency that is accredited with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Russia House was one of the first Russian travel agencies to be accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1980!

Visitors Visa

Valid up to one month for travellers who do not wish to book hotel accommodation. Registration is only available in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Travellers to other cities must book hotels in order to register the visa.

Homestay Visas

Intended for persons staying with friends and relatives in flats in the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg only. Such persons should normally apply through their friends/relatives for a visitor’s visa with the support of the local PVU office, however it does take 1 to 2 months and many Russians are not keen to bring themselves to the attention of the PVU office. Homestay visas enable us to circumnavigate these problems. Basically we are able to use the home as a 'Hotel address' with invitation provided by the hosts. We need their name, address and telephone number and we can organise the support invitation within a few hours.

Enlarged (170%) and lightened photostat of the information page of your passport. Plus instructions to book hotel for the whole period of intended stay.

2. Send by Special delivery post or courier:

a. Passport must have 2 blank pages and 6 months validity after visa expiry.

b. Completed Form, complete on-line at www.therussiahouse.co.uk then print and sign

c. Passport size photograph colour with light background

Enlarged (170%) and lightened Photostat of the information page of your passport. For Homestay - Advise us of your host's details i.e. full name, address, and telephone number in central Moscow or St. Petersburg.

2. Send by Special delivery post or courier:

a. Passport must have 2 blank pages and 6 months validity after visa expiry

b. Completed Form, complete on-line at www.therussiahouse.co.uk, then print and sign

c. Passport size photograph colour with light background

Once we have received all the required documents and the visa has been endorsed into the passport we can ascertain all correct charges and payment can be made by cheque or credit card (with a 3% charge).

Registration of Russian Visas

IMPORTANT - It is the responsibility of the traveller to register the visa and The Russia House Ltd. cannot be held responsible for any failure to register or any additional costs that may be incurred by the traveller to register.

If you are staying in Russia for more than three nights you are obliged to register your visa. If you are staying in a hotel - the hotel will arrange registration.

Homestay Visas in Moscow and St. Petersburg

Registration arrangements are handled by Intourist and will be detailed to you on your itinerary - it takes 7 days. Cost $35 payable on the spot.
